Remedy launches Wild Berry flavour to mark World Kombucha Day

Remedy – the UK’s number-one kombucha brand – has announced the UK launch of a brand new flavour creation, Remedy Kombucha Wild Berry, in time to celebrate World Kombucha Day (21 February 2022).

Speaking of its new kombucha creation, Remedy stated: “Bursting with strawberry, blackberry and blueberry bliss, this sun-ripened blend is sweet, jammy and beautifully aromatic.”

The Remedy Kombucha Wild Berry beverage will initially be stocked exclusively at Tesco in a multipack (4 x 330ml) can format (RRP. £5).

The retail giant will also be launching Remedy Kombucha Mango Passion at the same time, and more than doubling distribution of its existing Remedy flavours (Raspberry Lemonade and Ginger Lemon). This move underpins Tesco’s commitment to increase its sale of healthier products, with Remedy’s craft-brewed, no sugar proposition proving a hit with shoppers.

The only ‘I Quit Sugar’ approved kombucha

The kombucha market has expanded rapidly, with the drink enjoyed by customers who are seeking a quality, healthier soft drink alternative. Like all Remedy goodness, Remedy Kombucha Wild Berry naturally contains no sugar, which is why it is the only kombucha brand to be given an official tick of recommendation from I Quit Sugar.

The I Quit Sugar Tick is a readily available red stamp displayed on a variety of products that assist those seeking an ethical, sustainable and low-sugar lifestyle. Currently available in Australia – Remedy’s home country, to qualify for a Tick recommendation, your product or brand must satisfy a number of strict criteria.

Remedy kombucha is “made the old school way,” its makers advise, “in small batches following a long-aged 30-day brewing process to create the tastiest, healthiest kombucha around, that’s bursting with live cultures, organic acids and antioxidants.”

Additionally, Remedy Kombucha is vegan, gluten-free, fructose-free, keto and paleo friendly and HALAL certified.

“The gateway drink for non-kombucha drinkers”

Remedy Drinks Co-Founder Emmet Condon shared that the launch of the new Wild Berry flavour builds on the excitement and thirst for the months ahead, without compromising on taste. “Our newest Remedy Kombucha flavour is bursting with the mixed berry bliss we all know and love. While we’re all about encouraging healthier choices, that shouldn’t mean that we have to compromise on flavour or fun,” reasoned Condon. “Remedy Kombucha is the gateway drink for non-kombucha drinkers. It’s one that everyone can enjoy guilt-free, with its deliciously jammy berry taste.”

While many berry drinks are well-known to be laden with sugar and artificial colourings, Remedy’s Co-founder said that his team wanted to “make it right and create something full of flavour, not sugar, reclaiming some of the most celebrated fruit”.

“Remedy Kombucha Wild Berry is by far the easiest drinking flavour yet, for those who have the desire to make the switch, with its lip-smacking berry boldness. We bottled up the all-natural sweet and sour notes of summer berries, so berry drink lovers could easily reach for the good stuff.”

Along with the new listing, Remedy has also recently expanded into Ocado, as well as through outlets such as delivery service Gorillas; while it also remains the leading kombucha brand in markets including Australia, New Zealand and Singapore.

Remedy Kombucha Wild Berry is available exclusively at Tesco and online at Tesco.com.
