In a bid to raise awareness of important dates in the Caribbean calendar this year – Windrush Day, Jamaican Independence 60th Anniversary and, of course, the return of The Notting Hill Carnival – The Black Farmer has created the Carnival sausage.

“This special edition sausage not only puts these key events front of mind, but encapsulates the vibrancy of Carnival,” remarked Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones. “Succulent British pork combined with sweet juicy mango and the warmth of chilli heat, this sausage is bursting with flavour.”

The Black Farmer’s limited-edition Carnival sausage will be available from M&S, Ocado, Budgens, Co-Op, Tesco and Asda between July and October.

As Britain’s first black farmer, Wilfred Emmanuel-Jones continues to challenge the lack of diversity within the British food industry, and calls for a greater inclusivity within the British agricultural, farming and food industries.
