ANUTEC International FoodTec India – postponed until December 2021
In response to the Covid-19 second wave, ANUTEC International FoodTec India and co-located events will be postponed until December 2021, said organiser Koelnmesse India in a statement.
The second wave of coronavirus has hit India severely, creating new unfortunate records of daily infected cases and deaths. The authorities responded to the situation with localised lockdowns, resulting in a wholesale slowdown of economic activities.
Since the complete business ecosystem has been significantly disrupted due to the pandemic, Koelnmesse India has made a strategic decision to postpone ANUTEC International FoodTec India and its co-located events – PackEx India, Food Logistics India and ANUTEC Ingredients India.
The shows, which were due to be held in September, will be rescheduled for 2-4 December 2021, and will remain based at the same venue – IECC, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
While India’s government has announced phase-wise unlocking in many parts of the country, getting business back in full swing will take some time. Nonetheless, the expedited vaccination drive is providing some cause for optimism to the business community as it gears up for a return to activity, the show organiser said. “Hence, Koelnmesse India – in agreement with industry stakeholders – decided to delay the exhibition by more than two months, and is convinced that this decision is in the interest of exhibitors, visitors and partners,” it said in a statement.
Over 450 exhibitors from India and abroad are expected to attend the next edition of ANUTEC International FoodTec India and its co-located trade fairs.
