Inginious Gin enters the market with a novel new take on low-alcohol

New UK brand Inginious Gin is a concentrated gin spirit – think: big taste, but small measures.

Formulated alongside spirits experts at Sloemotion Distillery in North Yorkshire, Inginious is a concentrated 43% ABV gin spirit with 10 times the flavour concentration, meaning only a small amount is required to create the perfect serve.

Brimming with botanicals

Developed to partner perfectly with a non-alcoholic mixer such as tonic, this distillate is packed full of responsibly sourced botanicals. These include the classic gin botanicals juniper and coriander, and a citrus blend of lemongrass, grapefruit and lime. By using this combination of botanicals, Inginious said it is putting “mindful drinking first without compromising on flavour.”

Dramatically reduces alcohol content, without compromising taste

A 5ml serve, compared to the standard 50ml double serve of gin, diluted with 150ml of a non-alcoholic mixer such as tonic, is the perfect combination, resulting in a familiar and fragrant Gin & Tonic taste experience, yet resulting in only 0.2 units of alcohol per serve. A 5ml measuring spoon has also been designed and comes with each purchase to ensure a perfect Inginious serve.

Whilst not completely alcohol free, Inginious significantly reduces both your alcohol and calorie intake, and all without compromising on taste.

A new disruptor in the no/low space

Overall alcohol consumption is expected to have declined in 2020, while the low- and no-alcohol market continues to expand, with consumption expected to grow 31 per cent by 2024, according to the IWSR. However, founder of Inginious Gin, Simon Liddle couldn’t find any no/low alternatives that both tasted great and had the same aromatic zing of alcohol, so he set out to create something new.

“For the last two years I have been looking to cut down on alcohol for health reasons,” Mr Liddle told Food & Beverage Networker. “After struggling to find a tasty, low-alcohol gin, I set about creating a concentrated gin product like no other. With an aim of reducing the stigma surrounding lower alcohol drinks, Inginious Gin ensures that foregoing more traditional gins is a surprisingly simple choice.”

Inginious Gin is now available online at https://inginious-gin.co.uk/ (RRP £26.00).
