Naked Smoothies unveils new editions to its ‘Lean’ and ‘Machine’ ranges

Naked Smoothies, the UK’s number one functional smoothie brand from PepsiCo, has launched new additions to its lower-sugar Lean and vitamin-enriched Machine ranges, as consumer demand for healthier, functional beverages continues to expand.

A new ‘Berry’ flavour – which contains 40 per cent less natural sugar and calories than other smoothies on average – has been released as Naked Smoothies refreshes its Naked Lean range. The range was launched by the brand in 2019 in response to consumer demand for lower-sugar smoothies. It was the UK’s first lower-sugar smoothie range in grocery retail.

Made with juicy strawberries, tangy raspberries, zingy elderberries and crisp apple juice, the new Naked Berry Lean contains no added sugar or preservatives, and is a source of Vitamin C.

Each bottle of Naked Berry Lean has 40 per cent less natural sugar and 40 per cent fewer calories than other smoothies on average, with 44 calories per 150ml serving. Containing only naturally occurring sugar from the fruits within every bottle, the new Naked Berry Lean has been created to give consumers a ‘fruity boost’ throughout the day.

Commenting on the creation of the Naked Lean range and the new Naked Berry Lean, Charlotte Ashburner, Senior Marketing Manager at PepsiCo, said: “At Naked, we believe healthier options shouldn’t compromise on bold flavours and great taste. This newest edition in our Naked Lean range, Naked Berry Lean, is 40-per-cent lower in natural sugar and bursting with flavour, giving our sugar-conscious consumers a healthier smoothie option that’s perfect to drink any time of the day.” Naked Berry Lean is available in 360ml, RRP £2.60, from Tesco and Boots nationwide.

Alongside adding to its Lean range, Naked has also launched a new addition to its Naked ‘Machine’ range. Inspired by the colours of the rainbow, the new ‘Naked Rainbow Machine’ bursts with flavours of tangy red apple, sweet mango, zingy kiwi, juicy blackberry and blueberry, smooth banana, beetroot and elderberry. Naked Rainbow Machine has also been boosted with vitamins C, E, B1, B2 and B6, providing drinkers with an afternoon pick-me-up.

Available now in 360ml and 750ml bottles, and made from 100-per-cent recycled plastic, the Naked Machine range also includes Naked Green Machine, Naked Blue Machine, Naked Mango Machine and Naked Red Machine.
