Organic Food Iberia postponed until September 2021

Organic Food Iberia and co-located Eco Living Iberia – Spain and Portugal’s biggest trade event dedicated to organic food and sustainable products – has been rescheduled from June to September this year.

Joint organisers Diversified Communications and IFEMA, Feria de Madrid, have announced that the show will now take place on the new dates of 8-9 September 2021 at IFEMA - Feria de Madrid.

The decision follows the ongoing impact of the coronavirus pandemic and comes after close monitoring of information, as well as discussion with the industry.

Delivering a safe and successful show

“Although there are positive signs that large scale events will be able to restart in the coming months, we still feel that June could be too early to run Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia,” remarked Portfolio Director Vicky Holman. “We want to deliver a second edition of the show that’s as safe and successful as possible, and with the recent news of vaccines and rapid testing, September feels like the right time to do that.

“We’ve consulted the industry and worked hard with our partners, IFEMA Feria de Madrid, to secure dates in the autumn that don’t clash with other major events and show moves within our sector,” she continued.

“We’re disappointed not to be able to bring everyone together as soon as we’d hoped. But we’re committed to delivering an event later this year that provides the industry with the most effective opportunities for networking, education, discovery and interaction – and we’re confident that the move to September means we’ll be able to return with the best show possible.”

Growing interest in organic, sustainable and ethical produce

“The growing interest in organic, sustainable and ethical produce, even during these challenging times, is incredibly positive,” remarked Project Director Susana Andrés Omella. “With the industry thriving, we know that Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia is more important than ever to celebrate and contribute toward that growth.

“Despite the tough circumstances, we’ve been overwhelmed by the continued support of the community. We’re looking forward to working together over the coming months to ensure that Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia is the event the industry truly deserves. And more than anything, we look forward to seeing you – in person – in September.”

Deploying the latest tech in security and occupancy control systems

Eduardo López-Puertas, General Manager at IFEMA, said that his organisation was preparing its facilities “with the latest technology in security and occupancy control systems, on the basis of the criteria established by the health authorities and the main international public bodies and industry organisations, so that we can welcome trade visitors and exhibitors to Organic Food Iberia and Eco Living Iberia with the maximum degree of safety, and guarantee that commercial activity and business generation can continue to take place effectively.”

Organic Food Iberia and co-located Eco Living Iberia will take place on 8-9 September 2021 in Hall 8 at IFEMA - Feria de Madrid.  For more information, please visit www.organicfoodiberia.com and www.ecolivingiberia.com
