Seven Bro7hers launches limited-edition ‘Peanut Butter on a Jaffa Cake’ stout to mark craft brewer’s 7th anniversary

Innovative UK-based brewery Seven Bro7hers Brewing Co. has announced it is launching a limited-edition ‘Peanut Butter on a Jaffa Cake’ stout to kick of its seventh birthday celebrations.

The novel limited-edition craft beer is the first launch of the Salford-based brewer’s ‘7 Series’ – a host of special craft beers designed and created by each founding brother to celebrate seven years in business together.

Launching throughout the year to mark the July anniversary, the ‘7 Series’ will include a variety of unique and original beers. Each beer will explore the interests, personalities and quirks of the seven McAvoy brothers as they toast this landmark birthday of their business.

Inspired by a favourite childhood snack

Kicking off the series is brother number six, Kit. Collaborating with the brewing team, Kit has crafted a nuttily sweet stout inspired by his favourite childhood snack – Peanut Butter on a Jaffa Cake.

This unusual treat of a beer is 7% ABV and available in a 440ml can from the Seven Bro7hers web shop for £5.

While the beer is rich in peanut flavour, it contains no nuts, making it suitable for beer drinkers with peanut allergies. Instead, the brewers carefully selected the perfect combination of hops and malts to bring out the nutty, zesty flavours.

To make the celebration series extra special, the brewery has also collaborated with local artist Alexandra Francis to design the artwork for the cans – visually telling the story of each brother and their beer.

Speaking about his stout, Director and Export Manager for Seven Bro7hers Brewing Co., Kit McAvoy, said: “The idea came from a snack I created for myself as a child. I loved peanut butter and I loved Jaffa Cakes, and one day – like kids do – I thought why not try them together. I can safely say it is still one of my favourite snacks to this day, and something I am constantly introducing people to.

“Seven years, seven beers, seven unique ideas”

“This year we celebrate seven years in business, which is a special birthday for us,” he continued. “We wanted to commemorate the anniversary with a series that celebrates our family and seven years of hard work – seven years, seven beers, seven unique ideas.

“It has been really fun taking well-known beers and flavours back to the drawing board and getting inventive with the brewing team. We are enormously proud of the last seven years and we hope people join us in celebrating this landmark,” Kit remarked, adding: “Have you ever had peanut butter on a Jaffa Cake? All I can say is, thank me later!”

Seven Bro7hers Brewing Co. was founded in 2014 by McAvoy brothers, Guy, Keith, Luke, Daniel, Nathan, Kit, and Greg, inspired by their dad’s home-brewing in their cellar at home.

In 2016, the brothers opened their first beer house in Ancoats, Manchester. They now have a newly refurbished, onsite taproom at the brewery in Salford, and a beer house at Middlewood Locks, Manchester.

This year, Seven Bro7hers will be opening a partnership bar in Manchester Airport’s new terminal two, as part of a lucrative 10-year deal. As well as beer house sites in MediaCityUK, Leeds and Liverpool.

Seven Bro7hers beers are available online  and available to trade or retail stockists.
