Draft line-up revealed for European Food Contact Plastics Seminar in Brussels

Speakers have just been announced for the upcoming European Food Contact Plastics Seminar, which returns to Brussels from 11–12 April 2019.
Polymer Comply Europe (PCE), on behalf of European Plastics Converters (EuPC), is organising the important regulation-focused seminar, which returns for its sixth edition in 2019.
Of the speakers announced, on Thursday 11th April these include Antonio Conto of ChemSafe, set to discuss the ‘Latest developments on Endocrine Disrupters within EU Regulations’. Later in the day, food safety expert Beate Kettlitz will speak on ‘Regulatory requirements for Nanomaterials in the context of the EU Food Contact Regulations’.
Enhancing supply chain transparency
This year, the over-arching theme of the seminar will be ‘Improving transparency throughout the supply chain’.
Accordingly, senior executives from global giants Nestle, Ferrero and Coca-Cola will present case studies on improving transparency and compliance throughout their international supply chains.
The second day of the event (12th April) will see talks from Dario Dainelli of Polymer Comply Europe on ‘2025: The Future Direction of EU Food Contact Legislation’, as well as Takis Daskaleros of the FCM Team, European Commission, DG Santé, who will be evaluating the ‘FCMs Framework Regulation and Plastics Recycling and Circular Economy’. In addition, Martin Policar of Polymer Comply Europe will give a talk on the ‘Amendment of Regulation (EU) No. 282/2008 and Authorization Decisions for recycling processes’.

More speakers will be announced shortly, including experts from Polymer Comply Europe, EuPC, JRC, PET Sheet Europe, and the Titanium Dioxide Manufacturers Association (TDMA).
Since 1989, event organiser Polymer Comply Europe (PCE) has worked closely with the industry to develop an in-depth knowledge and wide experience in EU Regulatory Compliance, Association Management and Projects & Studies. The upcoming seminar is being organised on behalf of EUPC – the EU-level trade association representing the interests of the European Plastics Converting Industry.
