Dylan Lauren receives 2018 ISM Award

Dylan Lauren, founder and proprietor of the Dylan’s Candy Bar chain of boutique confectionery stores, has received the ISM Award 2018. The prize has been conferred by ISM – the world’s largest and most important trade fair for sweets and snacks – since 2014, and pays tribute to exceptional services to the sweets and snacks industry.

Dylan Lauren paved the way for one of the largest sweet and lifestyle brands worldwide with the shop and sales concept that she introduced back in 2001: Dylan’s Candy Bar. The flagship store in New York City has continually been on the ‘Top 10’ list of the most famous tourist attractions in the city since the outlet’s foundation. Over two million visitors a year are inspired by the unique mixture between sweets, art, fashion and pop culture. Ms Lauren comes from a famous American family, her father being the acclaimed fashion designer Ralph Lauren.

Today, Dylan’s Candy Bar also has branches in East Hampton, New York; Los Angeles; Chicago; and Miami Beach, in addition to wholesale venues around the globe.

The ISM Award ceremony was held during an exclusive dinner in Cologne, on the sidelines of this year’s ISM – the world’s largest trade fair for sweets and snacks. The jury of the ISM Award is composed of international representatives from the industry, trade and field of science. Previous winners of the award include James N. Walker of UK-based Walkers Shortbread, Felix Richterich of Ricola AG from Switzerland, and Gota Morinaga of Japanese firm Morinaga Co. Ltd.
