Eat Natural launches 3 exclusive new bars at Costa Coffee for the New Year

Cereal bar manufacturer Eat Natural has announced its first ever partnership with Costa Coffee for the launch of three delicious new recipe snack bars.

The new Eat Natural bars, which are now available at all 2,700+ Costa Coffee stores across the UK, include a dark chocolate protein bar (50g), a chocolate caramel nut bar (50g) and a mixed berry and yoghurt bar (50g) – each priced at £1.75.

The bars will be exclusively listed at Costa Coffee and will be Ferrero-owned company Eat Natural’s first co-branded products.

Dark chocolate protein bar (vegan)

The dark chocolate bar, which is 100% vegan, contains an array of tastes and textures – from the stickiness of dates and the nuttiness of cashews and pecan nuts, to the touch of sea salt that complements the coconut blossom nectar. A source of protein, this is sure to be a tasty afternoon snack.

Chocolate caramel nut bar

Nutty, chocolatey, with a hint of salted caramel, this bar is positively loaded with seeds and nuts (over 20 per cent of the bar is almonds). The bar is also jewelled with zingy cranberries for a burst of colour.

Mixed berry and yoghurt bar

A delicious mid-morning snack/elevenses bursting with joyful, colourful berries in a creamy yogurt coating, this new bar is loaded with gluten-free oats and pumpkin seeds to pack a real punch.

On-the-go, delicious and indulgent

“We know consumers are demanding more from on-the-go snacks,” observed Lucia Gimson, Brand Manager at Eat Natural. “They want convenient products that don’t compromise on taste and contain delicious ingredients,” she said. “We’re really proud of the bars we’ve created for Costa Coffee, and there’s something for everyone in this new range.”

Harriet Gregory, Head of Product Innovation at Eat Natural and the mastermind behind the new bars, said: “The key premise for the bars was to strike a balance between delicious and indulgent. Each bar fulfils that ambition in a different way and offers a treat that is also deeply satisfying.”

A Costa Coffee spokesperson said: “We are delighted to have launched three delicious new recipe bars across our stores in partnership with Eat Natural. All three are perfect as a grab on-the-go snack while out and about on a wintery walk this January, or as an ideal pairing for an afternoon Americano or Flat White.”

Eat Natural’s dark chocolate protein bar, chocolate caramel nut bar and mixed berry and yogurt bar are available now to purchase across Costa Coffee stores nationwide.

Eat Natural was acquired by Ferrero, the third-largest player in the global sweet packaged foods market, in 2020, in alignment with the confectionery giant’s desire to expand its overall footprint and product offerings into the healthier snacking market segment.
