As the UK gears up to celebrate the historic Platinum Jubilee, FOX’S® – the number one brand in traditional hard boiled fruit sweets – is launching a tasty collection of sweets celebrating Great British puddings.

The limited-edition collection contains four quintessentially British pudding-flavoured sweets and is launching in June in Home Bargains, B&M and other bargain stores. The delicious assortment includes: Jelly and Custard, Peach Melba and Lemon Meringue Tart – plus a tantalising mystery flavour. All sweets in the collection are vegan. 

FOX’S® – owned by Valeo Snackfoods – has been making sweets since 1880. And the company says this collection has been developed as a way of satisfying the demand for more adult-centric sweets. Indeed, according to research conducted in April this year by Mintel, more than one-third of sweet eaters believe there are not enough sweets aimed at adults.

Tapping into British nostalgia

Russell Tanner, marketing director at Valeo Snackfoods, said the new limited-edition collection will not only appeal to adults, but will also tap into Britons love of nostalgia.

“Britain is famous for its fantastic puddings, and these sweets will undoubtedly evoke some happy memories,” he said.

“With the country getting ready to celebrate Her Majesty’s historic 70 years as Queen, we wanted to honour this the only way we know how: in sweet form.”

“What makes this new collection a little different from usual is that we have added a mystery flavour to the bag, and [we] hope that consumers will enjoy guessing what it could be. We’re not giving anything away, except to say it is perfect for a royal celebration.”

FOX’S® Limited Edition Pudding Collection will be available from June until stocks last and will have an MRRSP of 89p.
