Asepto holographic packs by Uflex dazzle

Uflex Ltd – India’s largest multinational flexible packaging materials and solution company – made a dazzling impact at the recently concluded Propak China exhibition – held from 11–13 July at Shanghai New International Expo Center (SNIEC). The leading firm showcased its ASEPTO brand – an aseptic liquid packaging solution crafted by Uflex Ltd – and won high appreciation for one unprecedented feature in particular: its innovative holographic packs.

Pioneering the new innovation in China – and becoming the first Indian company to do so – Uflex observed a strong level of interest by global beverage manufacturers for holographic applications within the aseptic liquid packaging field, resulting in impressive footfall at its booth and numerous enquiries. Many attendees at the exhibition were inspired by the possibilities that holographic packs could open up for their businesses, in terms of providing a unique way to promote their respective products and brands.

UFLEX’s presence at the premier international event and its showcasing of stunning and distinctive packaging solutions also served to underline India’s exceptional manufacturing ability. Uflex’s clients on a global footing include P&G, PepsiCo, Tata Global; Mondelez, L’ Oreal, Britannia, Haldiram’s, Amul, Kimberly Clark, Ferro Rocher, Perfetti, GSK, Nestle, Agrotech Foods, Coca Cola, Wrigley, and Johnson & Johnson, among others – and the company is now clearly keen to further extend its solutions to brands in China’s gigantic, rapidly expanding consumer market.

China: An enormous opportunity for superior aesthethics

China obviously presents an enormous opportunity for dynamic players that have the capabilities to serve the flourishing market’s evolving demands. According to Uflex, China’s existing market for metalized packaging has a scope of two billion packs per annum – yet limited options exist when it comes to superior aesthetics. Resultantly, the firm is confident that holography will become a new buzzword for aseptic packaging in the Chinese market, offering brand-owners countless opportunities to enhance their brand presence and boost their clout.

Certainly, Uflex’s proposition is a compelling one – with no major capex investment required, brand-owners can effectively leverage the benefits of this innovative aesthetic enhancement that is trending in aseptic packaging.

Fresh from his firm’s successful participation at Propak China, Mr Ashwani Kumar Sharma, President and CEO of New Business Initiatives at Uflex Ltd, said the event was invaluable in helping to “showcase ASEPTO’s holographic excellence in the untapped Chinese packaging market”.  Likewise, the Uflex executive was buoyant about the prospects for the company’s newly-launched innovation to transform the market. “We want to make a dent in the market by reaping the first-mover advantage,” he said. “Apart from that, we are a total system supplier providing packaging material and filling machines.”

Creating an eye-catching advantage

Certainly, the potential for eye-catching holographic packs to boost differentiation and escalate a brand’s over-the-counter sales growth at retail stores and hypermarkets seems self-evident. Holography in packaging is clearly still a novel concept, yet it is also one that seems likely to catch on fast, given its ability to provide the edge to an existing line of products/brands and, simultaneously, to help companies launch new line of products/brands to upscale their product portfolio.

“Holography is a new concept in packaging – one that will undoubtedly be appreciated by brand owners,” Mr Sharma agreed. “I am extremely proud to say that Uflex presents, through ASEPTO, a quality packaging solution to the industry – one that has been recognised globally with all the international certifications to its credit, such as BRC, FDA, Halal and FSC certifications. I firmly believe that our holography packs will help us progress business relations in foreign markets since we are delivering the quality innovation promise and standards that brand owners are seeking out, and our product is on a par with global standards,” he concluded.

Established in 1985 and today India’s largest multinational flexible packaging materials and solution company, Uflex is also a fast emerging global player in the packaging sector, with manufacturing facilities across India, as well as in the UAE, Mexico Egypt, Poland and the US. Uflex caters to 140 markets across the globe today, offering technologically superior packaging solutions for a vast array of products.
